_MG_2059Owen’s Mitey Mite team (90 lbs and under) had a controlled scrimmage against Pennridge last night. It was a bit rough for NHS, but there were a number of bright spots. There are some excellent athletes on his team and as soon as they get  a bit more football under their belts — this was the first tackle game for some of them — I’m sure they’ll start to shine.

Pennridge always has excellent teams; their older teams are often division winners. I know some of the boys on the Pennridge team have played three years of tackle football.

A few photos are here from the scrimmage (Owen is #53).

He did a good job at center, holding off the nose tackle and [...]...

Jr. Pee Wee Gold Rumbles over Pennridge (Or, as one mom noted: “We scored, we scored, we scored, we won.”) New Hope-Solebury’s Jr. Pee Wee Gold team ran its winning streak to three games after dominating Pennridge, 19-0. The Lions have displayed offensive, defensive and special teams prowess in outscoring their opponents 64-6 during the winning streak. The vaunted Lions offense struck early in the first quarter after the defense forced a quick three and [...]...
