For years, DadDad has been writing captions for photos that I send him or post. The captions are hysterically funny and I realized I should be sharing them here. So here’s is the latest installment, based on Owen’s recent opening day baseball game.
OWEN: “Now this is downright stupid on somebody’s part! I am a left-handed player, meaning I wear my glove on my right hand. This team only has a catcher’s mitt for a righty and the coach put it on ME! I was too shy to say anything, but Mommy and DadDad got it straightened out. However, I caught most of the inning with the glove on the wrong hand!!!
OWEN: “How’s this for good batting form and follow-through?
OWEN: “I don’t know if it will make me run any faster, but the coach said to run like the Devil himself were chasing me. I feel like I’m flying!
OWEN: “Damn it, following the catcher’s glove debacle, one would think I would be fitted with proper protective gear, but apparently not! This ‘Darth Vader’-style helmet is nowhere near my size! Also, this girl on my left is distracting me from my base running chores by scratching her crotch? Do girls have to wear a cup in this league? All the boys do.
OWEN: “As I found out in flag football last fall, I’m a pretty good ‘trash talker’ during a game. I think I’ll lay some of that on this kid. I’ll start with an Owen smirk and then follow with some verbiage beginning with “Yo Mamma…” and conclude with some names DadDad provided.
