Fiona’s friend from school, Ellie, had a birthday party today. It was a princess party.
I tried to convince Fiona that she should wear play clothes, but she INSISTED that it was a princess party, so she HAD to wear a princess dress.
I even showed Fiona the email from Ellie’s mother that said she should wear play clothes.
Fiona looked at the email, shrugged her shoulders and said, “Mommy, I can’t read.” . . . Fiona wore her princess dress.
Having a princess dress on with a hoop skirt didn’t slow her down much, she still managed to swing, slide and climb the rock wall.
At the party, the little princesses got their nails done and got “make up” (sparkly lip gloss).
Those who didn’t come already dressed up got all pretty in princess costumes with accessories. Once everyone was dressed, they had a princess parade/fashion show. Each princess had a magic wand and got up on “stage” and did a twirl.
For lunch, Princess Fiona managed two hot dogs, some nuggets, many strawberries and ate cake with her fingers. The little princesses finished off the party with a pinata.
The slide show is here: Fiona at the princess party.
