Since I’m never going to have time to blog about any of these events individually, I put them all together. I put captions under most of the photos to explain them. There’s even a bizarr-o photo in the collection!

Don’t they look cute all dressed up? We were on the way to the Nutcracker ballet and they allowed me to take some photos. Owen requested the bow tie for his holiday outfit this year. I had to crop Jack out because he was all scowly because he didn’t want to get dressed up and wanted to stay home and watch football.
I just realized….Owen and Fiona are touching. Does that make this a bizarr-o photo?
Another lighter entry. I haven’t put up a Bizarr-O photo for a while. (Definition: a Bizarr-O Photo is one in which Jack & Owen are sharing the same space at the same time and not fighting.)
This one took place during our summer vacation to England & Scotland. What you can’t see, and what forced them to snuggle up against one another, is that they are standing on an 18″ square concrete street lamp pedestal and if either one moved further away from the other, they both would fall off. So, this wasn’t a spontaneous Bizzar-O situation, but they were together nonetheless.
This is one of the original bizzar-o photos. (No, the boys are not practicing synchronized swimming.)
This is from March 2001, when we took a spur-of-the moment weekend trip to Chincoteague, Va., to see the ponies. We had a great hotel suite and the boys had a great time, just playing in the room. It was one of the first times Jack and Owen actually played together, and as you can see from their faces, they liked it.
After I posted the other photo of Jack & Owen together, I remembered this one from about a week ago. I guess instances of them getting along aren’t as rare as they are fleeting. I’ll try to keep track of them here.
I have NO IDEA how Jack & Owen ended up sitting together in this chair. And even less of an idea how it lasted long enough for me to actually get a photo. We’ve been having a really tough week with them fighting constantly.
All of a sudden I looked over and saw them sitting together, actually TOUCHING each other watching Indiana Jones.
It didn’t last long, but it helped to remind me that they aren’t going to fight forever and maybe, even before they go to college, they might get along for more than two minutes at a time.
