Owen had his first football game of the season today. The team had played the week before, but Owen missed the game because of the wedding. It was the team’s second win and they really looked great, beating the Greenjackets 18-6.
Owen played four positions — fullback, outside linebacker, … Read the rest⇒
Kevin left Lizzie and Mike wedding celebration after the ceremony and before the reception to go coach his Jr. PeeWee team. As Owen was an important member of the wedding party, he missed the game.

We all went on Owen’s birthday camping trip this year (some of the early years are here and here).
One of this year’s highlights was a paintball session. “Unfortunately,” Fiona and I couldn’t go because 10 was the minimum age. For once, it didn’t rain during the campout, although … Read the rest⇒

Owen had a great fencing tournament … but his run was stalled before the semis when he ran into a kid almost four years older and about 14″ taller!! Despite that, he won the first bout of the elimination round (there are three bouts in an elimination match), then … Read the rest⇒

Fiona enjoys the ride down from the top of the wall
Fiona had a great time Saturday at her classmate’s birthday party at the Doylestown Rock Gym. As usual, she was fearless and shot right up the wall.

Owen placed third in his first “real” (electric, not dry) foil tournament Sunday. He was amazing and the best thing was that he got exponentially better as the day went on.
The tournament was supposed to have two groups, 10 and under (Owen is nine) and … Read the rest⇒

Since I’m never going to have time to blog about any of these events individually, I put them all together. I put captions under most of the photos to explain them. There’s even a bizarr-o photo in the collection!
Selection of photos from December.

For some reason, the quick time movie didn’t work for everyone, so try clicking here to see a video of Owen the woodworker in action.
It takes a minute to load, and you can’t really hear him at the beginning, but the audio gets better about halfway through.
