_MG_1342

Fiona is on her first real team!! She’s playing kindergarten soccer at the Solebury Soccer Club.

(We were very hesitant about her being involved in the program after Jack was treated with a complete lack of integrity, but hopefully, those coaches  won’t taint the kindergarten program. So far, so

More Inconsitency from Solebury Storm Soccer Coach

f_nosoccer

Well, it’s happened again; more misinformation from the Solebury Soccer Storm’s u12 coach.

I guess at this point we shouldn’t be surprised.

Stupid us (said sarcastically)!!

We shouldn’t ever have believed that a man who had coached our son through three years of Autumn and Spring soccer would …

Fiona at Soccer Camp

_MG_9761

Fiona had a great week at soccer camp. I think she really enjoyed playing. She hopped right out of bed everyday to get ready to go.

She really liked picking out which soccer jersey she would wear each day. Coach Mike called her that player’s name all day and it …

Soccer Star Fiona

Fiona has her first session of soccer camp today, and she did great.

The numbers at camp seem to be way down (I counted about 45 kids all together), so they did the first half hour or so in a group.

It was tough for Fiona, because she …

One of my favorite of all sports quotations is the Special Olympics oath:

“Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”

I think youth sports would be well served if all coaches and players kept this more in mind.

Storm v PA Rush

The Solebury Storm lost a tough game to PA Rush…they played great to start off the game, but somehow got out of their rhythm.

Injury report

Kevin carried Jack home from practice last Thursday.

Jack had been playing in the scrimmage, turned his leg funny and fell down and someone stepped on it. Jack’s pretty tough, so if he’s laying on the ground in pain, something’s wrong. We discussed at home what to do, but Jack …

The Storm played a great game and beat PA Rush to move up to control second place.

If they beat Warrington in two weeks, the Storm will win the division.

Storm DEFEATS Neshaminy

_mg_7375

Jack’s soccer team got revenge for their first loss of the season by beating Neshaminy yesterday. They’re now solidly in second place and can take over first place if they beat Warrington again.

It was a tough day for photos — I was distracted watching the game (!) and the …

Storm wasn’t very thunderous on Saturday :-(

_mg_4195

Fiona the Fan was just about the only pretty thing about Solebury Storm Saturday game against Coventry, so below is gratuitous glamour shot of her. The Storm was a little flat after their outstanding effort the week before. However, the season is only half over and I’m sure they’ll give …

Solebury Storm Beats #1 Team

Do you think he's happy?

Jack’s soccer team played a fantastic game Saturday and jumped into a tie for first place after beating the division leader. Jack played goal the whole game, and was under a lot of pressure most of the time. A penalty kick by Riley and go-ahead goal by Aaron gave them …
